WAX PROCESS
ingredients
WAX: We use bees wax as our base ingredient, we also use soy wax as our secondary wax to adjust the hardness to our wax.
CALCIUM CARBONATE: Calcium Carbonate plays a big role in our wax as it gives the wax texture to create those perfect bumps.
PINE RESIN: Pine Resin is what gives the wax its stickiness, and we chose Pine Resin because its the cleanest resin out there.
PROCESS
The process to making our wax is pretty straight forward but every bar of wax is made with precision. We basically put all the ingredients into a wax Melter and slowly stir the wax around until they are all melted together. Once all melted together we pour the wax into moulds and let that sit in a cool place until they are all set. next we put them into their boxes for them to be sent off.
APPLYING WAX
When applying wax to your board we suggest using a hard wax first to create a good base coat to make stronger bumps. Applying the wax out of direct sunlight is beneficial as well because the sun causes the wax to smear instead of creating bumps. first you want to map out where your front foot is going to be on your board and put a line across the board a little bit in front of your foot. Next you want to do a crisscross pattern across the whole board followed by circular motions and you keep doing the circular until bumps form. Once you have a good base coat you want to apply a top layer of wax with a softer wax suited to the water temperature in your area. Once you've done that you are all set to catch some waves.
PICKING YOUR WAX
When choosing what wax is best your choosing it based off what the water temperature in your area. If you look at our selection of surf wax its based off temperature, which means the softer the wax is the colder the water can be, so the harder the wax is the warmer the water can be.
